Synopsis
Latin! - a play in two unnatural
acts - is set in a remote old-fashioned boys' prep school
where dark secrets lurk behind the facade of boiled cabbage
and cricket whites. Dominic Clarke, an effete young latin
teacher, has become a little too intimate with 13-year-old
pupil Rupert Cartwright. Cantakerous Senior Master Herbert
Brookshaw, older than the furniture and whose only ambition
- thwarted - is to be headmaster, has suspicions - and his
own way of getting to the bottom of things...

Latin! is Stephen Fry at his best
- hilarious, outrageous, Fringe First-winning comedy. Stylistically
highly inventive, Latin! brings the so-called 'fourth wall' of
theatre up and down as the audience move in and out of ‘playing’
class 6B at Chartham Park Preparatory School.
