And Finally...

A letter to the company from an audience member which, well, is the sort of response that's most important of all.

Hi, My name's Mike David and I'm a St. Albans based actor/writer/director, though originally from Edinburgh, and I saw your show during 'week 0'. I have to say that I haven't been so transported by pure theatrical magic since I saw Shockheaded Peter. The Principle of Motion is a brilliant and bewitching piece of storytelling and exactly the sort of thing that I long to achieve... so thank you for giving me a wonderful illustration of what can be done.

Story-telling is the oldest and most important way we have of entertaining and informing and it must be done with an intense devotion to the story being told and no indulgence in selfish displays of personal brilliance for its own sake; it is very hard to find these days, but, your amazing team proved it still can be. Thank you. I'm so glad you've garnered some stunning reviews because I was rather worried by the venue you fetched up in. But the show is so powerful, and funny, that the awful space rapidly became irrelevant.

If I can help at all in spreading the word down here about the show and possibly point you in the direction of some touring venues in the S.E., I'd be delighted to do so. The only qualification is that you must all come and see my new company's production of Fando & Lis and The Lesson in November. Otherwise, my services come entirely free! Thank you again for a truly magical and inspiring experience. Gush over.

Love and Mercy, Mike David
